Fort Murchison Lodge is a perfect place to start your explorations of the National Park, as well as to relax and recover after strenuous game drives. A spacious pool area makes you forget all the heat and the huge garden with a view over Albert Nile is just wonderful. The rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. The helpful stuff is just amazing and they read every wish from your lips. Last but not least to mention is the excellent food! We enjoyed our stay the fullest!

- Driver could sleep for free - The view - big room - comfortable bed with mosquito net and fan.

- No free drinkable water, they give you water bottles but don't tell you you have to pay for them. - Reception often not staffed. We could not drop the key and as a consequence our room was not cleaned. They said that they only have 1 key from the room - Menu of the restaurant not displayed, no prices were communicated upfront. - Swimming pool not clean - Payment can only be made in cash according to the staff but we had chatted via Booking.com with somebody and a bank transfer was possible. Staff kept saying this isn't the case. - Long bumpy road leading to the lodge with almost no signage.

The food was great and the facilities were nice.

There was no wifi in the room and the road going to the lodge was bumpy.

The professionalism of staff was exceptional and done with humour. The food was 5* ...nothing to criticise.... Remember to take Usd or ugx to pay... Ther are no ATM's within 50 miles.

The building

Room was not clean, food was just above average, power went of at night.

Amazing location on the river.Beautifully designed with walking paths and a great lookout from the restaurant.

The payment systems were not clear but the staff was very helpful.

The pool was unclean and unmanned Shower not well positioned and potentially flooded the room .
