Really enjoyed our stay and property manager was continually available for any issues, which we didn’t really have. The water is currently much lower than the picture portrays making fishing much more difficult, yet you now have a private beach perfect for a family with dogs. Would highly recommend for a nice getaway. Take the time to tour Longhorn Cavern and jump off the rock at Inks Lake State Park.

I rented this property for a Spring Break Getaway for my boyfriend and our kiddos. We had a great time . The owners were very nice and left the lights on outside so that we could check in and find the place after hours. The house has a large living area to relax in and the house was decorated cute. Plenty of sleep space and not crampt. The kitchen had everything that you could need to cook a nice meal. The outside was amazing and relaxing. Horseshoes, swings, playground, sand volleyball court, kayaks, you name it... Thank yall for having us! We will definiately be back again.

Sooo happy we found these wonderful hosts and awesome property! ! Initially we booked another property and upon arrival we were immensely disappointed to the point of cancellation within the first 10 minutes. Having no where to stay that night we were frantically searching available listings and came upon this one. We reached out to Wiviane and she was over the top accommodating and easy to communicate with. We were able to get in that evening and she even invited us to come and enjoy the beach while she finished cleaning to prepare for our short notice arrival. The lake was low as they have had no rain but the water is still accessible with a sandy beach. We were very happy with the accommodations and could not have asked for more.

We were looking for a waterfront house to enjoy all things on the lake from a beautiful view to a swimming beach to fishing, all just footsteps away from our sleeping quarters and this place delivered! The home was spacious for our family of 4, but we spent the majority of our time on the beautiful fishing pier, the covered deck or down on the water. We loved grilling all of our meals outside, eating on the picnic tables, playing horseshoes, swimming and fishing! It was the perfect quiet escape from the city for family fun! We would definitely recommend this place to others. The hosts were so sweet and made us feel very welcome.

Perfect setting
Our stay was great. The only thing I have become used to in properties is the small things like paper towels and soap. This one did not have those things, but in fairness, it did state that in the listing. The location was perfect. However, one note to any future renters, the room that shows the crib and bunk beds, the bunk beds are actually in what used to be the closet and there is virtually no circulation in there.

Absolutely loved our family getaway!
We had a great stay. We enjoyed the fishing. The owners were very polite and helpful. The lake house included basically everything we needed for our stay other than personal items of course. It was a great experience. Definitely look forward to returning in our near future.

Great getaway spot
Had a very enjoyable time. The property is equipped with all the essentials. The dock is an amazing value add! Just wish the fish were bitting better. Haha. Great place to just get away and relax.

Mother/Son fishing trip
The house was just right for us. Wonderful location on Lake Buchanan, privacy with such good outdoor space and activities we never were inside. The pier was beyond expectations. I had fun fishing, watching the sunrise and being with my son. Plenty of room to visit on the covered porch area. We will have another this year.

nice spot
We wanted to get away for the weekend and fish on the pier. The weather wasn't optimal for fishing and we couldn't catch any, but we saw someone catching catfish. So there is certainly fish there. Wiviane was very responsive, house was as described.

Great little lakeside place
Very clean and roomy house. It had everything we needed for an enjoyable weekend. I’d come back here with my family. We were within 30 minutes of great golf, shops, restaurants, breweries, etc.

Beautiful Place!
We loved our time at the South Shore 1 House! It’s a big place with plenty of room, and the front porch and top deck are added bonuses. Our group loved it!

Amazing place!
Right by the lake! It was the perfect location. House was very clean and spacious, and we did not lack any amenitities. Almost everything was provided for us so that saved us a lot of hassle of having to supply our own grill and other cooking items. If we ever go to Colorado State Park again, we will definitely be staying here!

We used this as our home base for our weekend stay for the Jeep Jamboree. Unfortunately we were so busy, we did not have a chance to really enjoy the lake. It looks amazing.

We used this as our home base for our weekend stay for the Jeep Jamboree. Unfortunately we were so busy, we did not have a chance to really enjoy the lake. It looks amazing.

Thanksgiving Week getaway!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a great place for our grandson. Mike, the owner, even let our grandson play on his tractors. The house has plenty of room, pots and pans, dishes, etc.
The beach, fire pit, horse shoes, etc. were great outdoor activities.

Great short stay at the lake
We spent a couple of days at this lake house with our two teenagers. Inside the house was spacious and clean. The property was well stocked. Overall the vibe is functional and family-friendly rather than fancy. In our opinion, the best features of the property are outside. The house has a great covered deck looking out onto the lake, an upper deck that was nice in the early morning and evening, lots of lawn chairs, and even a horseshoe pit. The waterfront area is shared with the other rental house on the property -- a fishing pier that extends well out into the lake, a boat ramp, watercraft rentals available, and a gravel beach with a wide shallow area for swimming/floating. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this property for a short get away on Lake Buchanan.

Easy to work with
We had many changes to our reservation and Wiviane was very easy to work with and helpful in making changes. Lake Buchanan is a wonderful lake away from all of the crowds of the other Highland Lakes.
