This was the best house we've had the pleasure to vacation in. It was big, private, clean, well-stocked, and had everything we needed for a great Maine vacation. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat! Thanks to the owners for sharing with us!

I couldn't speak more highly of this property. If you plan to visit Acadia and desire both close proximity to the park and yet a place that feels remote and quiet...this is absolutely the place for you! We loved the nearby pond and my husband and I enjoyed walking out to visit it each morning. We even saw a beaver swimming to the dam! What a perfect location. The house itself is big and spacious. More spacious than anticipated! Our family of 5 had plenty of room to spread out. The house was very clean and accommodating. We had everything that we needed and the kitchen was well stocked! Acadia was beautiful and a such a great adventure. We didn't have enough time to check out the Schoodic Peninsula so I know that we plan to return. We won't hesitate to book this property again!! A definite 5/5 stars!

This is a beautifully maintained home with an ideal location for visiting Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The home is located on a long private drive surrounded by woods, but even the road connected to the driveway is secluded and tree lined. We felt the home looked beautiful in the posted pictures, and they matched our experience. We had more than enough space for our family of four. We didn't even take time to fully enjoy the view from the cool 3-season room. The location is terrific for visiting both "halves" of Mount Desert Island (the eastern half with the Island Explorer bus line, and the less hiked Western half with great hikes like Acadia mountain). Owners and property managers were excellent and responded immediately. If available, we would absolutely stay here again. Thank you!

The house was so clean and had everything we needed. Beds are very comfortable and water pressure is great! The location is fantastic, a short drive to Bar Harbor as well as anywhere on the Island. Unfortunately it rained nearly every day we were there and all of our excursions in Bar Harbor were cancelled because of rough seas or fog. We still did a ton of things, drive to Bangor (about 30ish minutes) saw Stephen Kings house and went to the casino. We hiked in Acadia, the bubble rock hike was amazing! We ate lobstah nearly every day (the Happy Clam was delicious). We bought a puzzle and worked on that during our down time (we left it there for future renters). If you are looking for the perfect spacious comfy place to stay on Mt. Desert island, this is it!!

We absolutely loved staying here! The house was well-appointed with everything we needed, exceptionally clean, and close enough to everything (Acadia, Bar Harbor) while feeling totally private and secluded. Beds and linens were comfy, fantastic stove/oven for cooking, and a great gas grill. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water for showers after a day on the trail. And prompt and courteous communication from the hosts. Everything you want in a vacation stay!

This home is exactly what we wanted: close to all parts of Acadia NP and a perfect spot to relax and the end of days filled with activities. The house is tucked away in a very quiet and private space. It is bright- and was super clean and comfortable. Close in proximity to a small pond if a moment of peace is needed at end of day and a safe neighborhood to get a morning run in if desired

Tucked away in the woods, you feel away from the maddening crowd, yet Acadia is a close drive away! Close to Bar Harbor, Land and Garden Preserve trails and gardens... perfect spot for relaxing and just right as a starting point for a day of hiking. The house is clean, well equipped... perfect.

The home is just as described. There is a beautiful sun porch. The neighborhood is extremely quiet and private. Home was spotless. Food options in the immediate area are limited so that takes some planning. Most restaurant options were 20 minutes away.

This was a great property, very clean and a perfect location. There is more seating than the pictures show and our family of 5 fit perfectly. Lots of little extras so there was no need to bring dish soap, dishwasher pods, toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, laundry detergent or dryer sheets. Loved the notebook with ideas for places to eat and things to do. We had some minor issues that were quickly taken care of by Valerie with no inconvenience to us at all. Valerie was very attentive and even had to mail some items that we had forgotten! We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Maine.

This is a beautiful property which is close to both Acadia and Bar Harbor where we spent everyday except for the one day we spent at Schoodic Point. It was perfect in every way!

This house was a few minutes away from downtown Bar Harbor on a quiet road. It was a great house! There was 5 adults in our group, but would’ve been great for kids too. Great kitchen/dining area, a side porch, living rm, 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, laundry, and deck w/grill. It was fantastic.

The property was perfect for us. Out of the way, private yet close to amenities. Owners had thought through basic needs of renters. Appliances in good working order. Especially liked that we never lacked hot water for showers. Came home from serious hiking and all 3 showers could be used at the same time without loss of hot water. The place was very clean!

Can’t wait to come back to Bar Harbor and rent this property again

This was our second stay at this property, and we've thoroughly enjoyed our stay both times. The home is spacious, modern, and spotless. We'd recommend this property to anyone, and we hope to stay here again next year.

This was our 5th trip to Bar Harbor to celebrate our 40th anniversary. The cottage was the best maintained and cleanest rental property that we've every stayed in, anywhere. Its in a great central location and the nearby pond was relaxing a walk away and a good spot for lunch. Amber was very helpful and easy to work with. We plan to return next year.

Everything from the moment I made the first request to the time we arrived was well thought and organized. Amber is a fantastic host and was a tremendous help on this trip. The house is like no other: Meticulously clean, organized, decorated and everything you need is there. The location is perfect, minutes from Acadia and Bar Harbor. And did I mention how CLEAN, ORGANIZED, BEAUTIFUL, and SERENE this home is?Absolutely gorgeous and a home away from home. Word of advice…bring groceries or stop at Hannafords earlier in the day. The restaurants were very busy and we only did take out which we enjoyed much more. Thank you Amber for hosting us! What a special time. Can’t wait to return soon.

Loved the location. Convenient to everything but quiet and relaxing. We LOVED the side porch with all the windows. We spent many hours there reading and just enjoying the view of the woods.

Communication prior to arrival was fantastic. Directions were very good (as Google maps was a bit confused). House is actually surrounded by more woods than I expected. You can only barely see closest houses through trees. And closest houses are not very close. We were afraid the absence of air conditioning would impact our stay, as it got solidly into the 80s during our trip. However, despite the light curtains, the house did not warm up too much during the day, and at nighttime with the windows open and the provided fans blowing, the house cooled sufficiently for comfortable sleep. The house is exactly as pictured in the VRBO website. It was immaculate, bright, and sparsely furnished (which is our preference). Everything worked as expected. The beds were comfortable with appropriate linens. There were enough towels for the four of us (and we go through towels!). We didn't cook at the house so can't speak to the pots, pans, dishes, etc. There were enough paper products (paper towels, napkins) and garbage bags that we did not have to resupply. The third full bathroom was a bonus! The rooms are huge! Check out was easy, with the simple, common request to take out garbage, wash the towels, and strip the beds. No extra cleaning expected or required. (Some rentals want you to vacuum - which REALLY detracts from vacation for me:) We would definitely stay here again. Thad and Debbie Long

We could not have asked for a better spot for our family to stay. We were close to the park and Bar Harbor but far enough away to enjoy the quiet of the woods. The house was spotless and had a ton of space for everyone. Would highly recommend this spot to anyone wishing to stay in the area.
