Estamos ubicados en el hermoso complejo privado de Sugar Hill y nuestros huéspedes tienen acceso al gimnasio, 4 canchas de tenis iluminadas de clase mundial (clases de tenis disponibles a pedido), la impresionante piscina infinita con vista al Mar Caribe y la 'piscina en cascada', nuestro restaurante en el lugar y seguridad 24/7. Estas son las cosas que nos encantan de nuestra casa caribeña: subir las escaleras a nuestra amplia y luminosa sala de estar con puertas francesas que se abren a la terraza y la impresionante vista: el vasto mar Caribe, el enorme cielo azul y los colibríes revoloteando. Hacemos la mayor parte de nuestra comida al aire libre en la cálida sombra de esta terraza, pero también hay una mesa de comedor en el interior si lo prefiere. La casa tiene ventanas de listones y está posicionada para que nos beneficiemos de la brisa del este, pero hay ventiladores en todas las habitaciones. La cocina bien equipada también está arriba, junto con un baño y un área de estudio privada. La casa tiene wifi en todo y tenemos una biblioteca de TV y DVD y acceso a Netflix.
Todas las habitaciones están abajo. Las dos habitaciones más grandes tienen baño privado con puertas francesas que se abren a la terraza de la planta baja que tiene un gran toldo que es realmente útil cuando el sol está más fuerte. Aquí puede divertirse mucho jugando tenis de mesa y luego saltando en la piscina para refrescarse antes de tomar un jacuzzi: no hay nada mejor que tener un jacuzzi mientras el sol se pone y ver a las luciérnagas bailando entre las palmeras. Los jardines alrededor de nuestra villa son grandes con muchos árboles frutales que hemos plantado a lo largo de los años, incluidos mangos, cerezas Bajan, plátanos, aguacates, guayabas. Cultivamos limas del tamaño de toronjas y, si están en temporada, podrás usarlas para tu G&T o ponche de ron, y el árbol de mango gotea con mangos en el verano.
De vuelta a las habitaciones, todas tienen aire acondicionado y ventiladores de techo. Dentro de la villa principal tenemos una cama king y queen, luego un dormitorio con dos camas individuales y un tocador con tocador. También tenemos una cuna de viaje / cuna disponible.
El cuarto dormitorio está en la cabaña de invitados, apartado en nuestro jardín con su propia terraza, cocina y baño. Esta es una configuración perfecta que brinda privacidad adicional: el uso de Guest Cottage puede generar una tarifa adicional por noche.

Si bien abundan los taxis y los autobuses, definitivamente vale la pena alquilar un automóvil porque hay mucho para explorar en la isla y Sugar Hill está perfectamente ubicado: la escarpada costa este donde puedes tomar un baño de mar y ver a los surfistas alrededor de Bathsheba, playas de arena blanca de la costa oeste con fabulosos restaurantes junto a la playa junto a tiendas locales de ron, cruceros en catamarán, las playas rosadas en Crane, el histórico Bridgetown con George Washington House, el distrito de Escocia en el norte con un paseo por el molino Morgan Lewis que aún puede moler la caña de azúcar . Hay varios establos, tirolesas, torneos internacionales de polo y clases de polo a poca distancia en coche en Apes Hill, cricket internacional en el Kensington Oval (¡las multitudes son tan entretenidas como los partidos!), carreras de caballos en la Guarnición - la lista continúa ..
Además, hay un servicio de autobús local bastante bueno a lo largo de las principales rutas costeras y es económico a US $ 1 por viaje: podría llegar fácilmente a Bridgetown de esta manera y hacer un viaje hasta el pescado frito en Oistins el viernes por la noche sería aún más de una aventura en autobús! También puedes hacer un safari y explorar la isla en un jeep si eso te atrae.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The view from the upper deck is spectacular. We spent every morning enjoying coffee and breakfast on the upper deck and in the evening enjoying the wonderful tree frogs and their soothing songs. The lower deck was very private with well maintained beautiful garden. Hot tub was wonderful ! Communication with the owner was helpful, easy and efficient. Greetings in person from the property manager was pleasant and appreciated. All is provided for a great stay and beach days. The infinity pool and gym and restaurant bar at the Sugar Hill club house is just wonderful. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us! We hope to be back soon

This year our Barbados trip was a last-minute decision, so we were glad we found "Windswept" and could be accommodated at short notice, with friendly mails going back and forth quickly and efficiently between the owners, their manager and us. Quiet and laid-back Sugar Hill is a favourite of ours, which never disappoints, and nor did Mandy's villa. Surrounded by a lush tropical garden it is exactly as advertised and as shown in the pictures, so it would house a large family plus friends in an extra guesthouse. It's spacious and bright, the beds are comfy, and the kitchen is well-stocked. Although it's just meters away from two truly beautiful pools, the plunge pool in the garden is still a nice touch. The ocean view from the very large balcony is really gorgeous, so it's a perfect place to wind down. Enjoy!

Windswept is located in a resort called Sugar Hill. Full credit to all who work there. Cynthia at Reception was amazing. All Resort staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were well maintained and beautiful.
The property is fantastic with views of the sea. It is set within a large beautifully maintained tropical garden with mature fruit trees. The house is stunning and very spacious, well maintained, immaculate and very tastefully decorated . You have everything that you would need plus more to make a home away from home. Chris and Amanda have thought about everything for their guests. From booking the property to the checking in/ checking out process, their information was detailed. The pool and the hot tub were well maintained and it was a pleasure to come back home on an evening to use these facilities. We had to tear ourselves away from the house and resort to explore Barbados. Imagine sitting on the patio with the views of the sea, the garden and all the birds that came to visit. This is perfection.
Marcia is an excellent Property Manager, professional, friendly, welcoming and informative about the property and Barbados . It was a pleasure to meet her.
It was an immense pleasure to stay at Windswept and we had a wonderful time. We are looking forward to returning. Thank you Chris and Amanda. 10/10

This was our second stay at the Sugar Hill Resort/Development, the first time at a tiny apartment very suited to the two of us, however this visit we needed more space as it was 4 of us, 1 couple and two single friends. We all loved the Townhouse/Villa, easy check in and out, it was super clean, nicely furnished and a well equipped kitchen. Nice sea view from the upper floor/living and dining space.
I must say that the Manager, Marcia was our champion, super efficient and very accommodating, lovely little lady :) thanks to her and to our host, we really enjoyed our stay. Go ahead and book, perfect for up to 3 couples, take the cottage as the third bedroom as the third bedroom in the main house is not on the same level as the other two, who ever gets that room may feel a bit cheated compared to the others, the cottage will certainly make up for it. the third bedroom is more suited for teens.

Exactly what we were looking for!
We stayed at Windswept for 10 days in the Easter holidays this year and had the most fabulous time - so much so that we've rebooked for next year! The villa is spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the balcony and reading (generally with a glass of wine or rum punch in hand!), and having netflix was a real bonus for our children. Whilst I wanted them to spend all there time outside, it does get hot in Barbados so some respite inside watching a film for an hour or two each day was perfect. Sugar Hill itself was outstanding - everyone was so friendly and we spent a lot of time over by the pool and restaurant. Our children were so happy there, which meant we felt rested too. The villa was just a couple of minutes' drive from the beach - our favourite was Gibbes (we like the peace and quiet) but there were so many to choose from. Marcia was super helpful, always responding to texts if we messaged her both before and during our stay. Amanda, the owner, was also really kind and communicative and allowed us to postpone our stay due to covid - it was well worth the wait!

Excellent base for exploring Barbados
Amanda’s Sugar Hill home was perfect for us, two couples on our first trip to Barbados. Before the trip both Amanda and the property manager, Marcia, reached out and gave us lots of useful information re places to book in advance, etc. Check in was very smooth and the property was exactly as advertised. It was spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Sugar Hill is well located on the west side of Barbados close to many great beaches and restaurants. There is a large grocery store nearby and a cute little market and bakery right down the hill. We loved sitting out on the expansive porch listening to the birds and tree fogs. It was even a nice place to watch a morning storm or two. The facilities at Sugar Hill are great. We enjoyed both pools, the tennis courts and happy hour. I even took a yoga class one morning. All and all, a great place to stay.

Beautiful grounds, restaurant on site was great, we used the gym every day, plus lots of tennis with Olley the tennis pro was amazing.
We stayed for 2+ weeks. Excellent communication and follow up with Amanda and Marcia.
Favorite part of the house was enjoying the large terrace ! Only recommendation is some household items need updating but that shouldn’t deter anyone from staying at this home.

The amenities at Sugar Hill (tennis courts, swimming pools) as well as the security and customer service at the clubhouse was excellent. We wanted a resort-style location so we could have regular, easy morning and evening walks with the children and my elderly mother. The location of this villa within the Sugar Hill resort, compared with other options, was perfect as it is close to the Clubhouse (an easy walk with pool/swimming equipment) and the entrance to Sugar Hill. We rented a car and it was always an easy drive to essentials (grocery, beach, bakery).
Amanda (owner) and Marcia (house manager) were wonderful - responsive, helpful, thoughtful, proactive. They were able to give invaluable recommendations for babysitting, tennis lessons, swimming lessons, transportation services, emergency medical care, and other local needs. They checked in when they thought we might need help and provided lots of helpful information well in advance. Natasha, the housekeeper, was also very friendly and capable.
We tried to avoid using the AC as much as possible (energy consumption very expensive in Barbados) and having the doors and windows open let in a perfect breeze, which we were comfortable in.
I thoroughly recommend booking Windswept, we found it excellent value for the space, location, amenities, and service we received during our stay.

Escape from COVID
Contact with Amanda and Marcia (the property manager) was excellent. All correspondence and queries answered fully and promptly.
The property is in an excellent location, close to the tennis courts, clubhouse and communal pool and benefits from extra large garden, fantastic view and cooling breezes on the spacious balcony.
Everything we needed was there. We used the plunge pool everyday to cool off. Whilst the Hot Tub was being repaired whilst we were there, it did look like a great asset. The table tennis table kept the 17 year olds amused until they discovered scuba diving, water skiing, jet skiing, Rum punch and Banks beer.
All in all a great location in a great country and a fantastic escape from COVID-19 Britain.

Didn't want to leave!
Clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Location was perfect, 5min drive to local grocery store and Limegrove. Other tourist attractions were 15-30min drive. The home was well stocked, staff was excellent! No complaints, and highly recommend this location for your Barbados stay.

Everything about Mandy's place is comfortable and pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. On our last day, we found out that a French bakery, La Baguette. Great croissants and other breads! Good thing I didn't find it sooner, or i would've gained 20 pounds sitting on Mandy's lovely balcony and eating 3 a day :) My family had a very wonderful, memorable experience here.

Everything about Mandy's place is comfortable and pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. On our last day, we found out that a French bakery, La Baguette. Great croissants and other breads! Good thing I didn't find it sooner, or i would've gained 20 pounds sitting on Mandy's lovely balcony and eating 3 a day :) My family had a very wonderful, memorable experience here.

The villa is bright and airy with four very spacious bedrooms (including the separate cottage). Having never been to Barbados we were extremely grateful for Mandy’s excellent communication and Marcia, who manages the property in country. Marcia is an absolute god-send and it was clear that nothing was too much trouble.
The villa is very well situated within the stunning Sugar Hill resort with very easy access to the two pools, the gym and the in-house restaurant.
Sugar Hill is set away from the hustle and bustle of Holetown, a short taxi-ride or slightly longer walk away. Equally, the beautiful Alleyne Bay was just as easy to get to.
I have to agree with other reviews that just sitting on the balcony looking out across wonderful tropical gardens was an absolute pleasure. Sunsets were spectacular and the peaceful tranquility truly mesmerising.

Barbados is a wonderful island and Sugar hill is a lovely resort. Amanda and Marcia really look after you, don’t hesitate to book.

Great sunsets, lovely house
Great location at Sugar Hill and five minutes drive to the beach, Holetown also a short drive. Marcia was really helpful and there to welcome us and deal with any questions.
Amenities at Sugar Hill were excellent super pool and restaurant. Amazing sunsets from the terrace, would definitely return.

Fantastic 2 week stay
This is our 3rd time at Sugar Hill but our 1st at Windswept. The villa is exactly as described in the narrative, its well appointed, nicely decorated, (master bed is HUGE!) airy, light, probably the best bit about it is the veranda off the lounge with stunning sea views and because its on the first floor gets amazing trade winds. We sat out here for hours, even when downstairs by the plunge pool was too hot due to little wind, it was always airy on the veranda - and sitting out here at night watching the stars and listening to the silence (well not quite..) but the silence and the frogs chirping - was fantastic.
Communications with Amanda the owner were first class and she was always immediately responsive, even though there is a villa manager to deal with any queries. Because we have been before we didn't need much help but the offer to books trips, cars, reservations was there if needed, although Marcia did kindly arrange the taxi transfer for us.
Sugar Hill is second to none, five minutes drive from Holetown and Limegrove, but secure (24 hour security), two massive pools to choose from the main one with a view to die for and because of clever positioning always nice breeze by the main pool, gym (though we were too lazy to use it!) and tennis courts, plus lovely to walk around, the whole complex is immaculate. Club House is lovely with nice restaurant (although opening less hours due to low season). Though we used the main pool more for swimming, the plunge pool at the villa is handy - but we did surprisingly use the jacuzzi a few times at night, was fab! nice extra.

Beautiful spot and property with very nice amenities
The house is clean and modern, very nicely decorated. We traveled with two small kids and they felt at home right away. They loved the pool across the street and the small restaurant served nice food that the whole family enjoyed. Amanda was a very friendly and efficient communicator. We highly recommend this property.
