This cottage is wonderful: from the rustic porch to the funky interior with painted furniture and fabulous antiques, I found it welcoming and comfortable. The host communicated quickly and clearly; she was very accommodating as well. Good, hot shower, well-equipped kitchen, and a nice washer and dryer made it a home away from home. I loved the treehouse like setting and appreciated the whole house AC. The upstairs sitting room was a comfortable retreat. I will be back!

Very quaint and quiet property, however it is only a few streets back from the theatre so you do hear the shows in the evening- we did enjoy it though! Also, it might be worth looking into some type of blind or curtain in the TV sunroom upstairs. At night, the street light shines directly on you in the bedroom.

The place was eclectic. Not as clean as I typically like to see. However maybe I just expect it to be zero dust bunnies under the bed so maybe I am just too picky., but it is an older cabin so maybe a bit of dust is to be expected. It is very unique and had various antiques and pictures of NOLA so it was like a treasure hunt. Parking is not ideal but doable. The area was very nice and I would have loved to enjoy some of the trails but was not there for that, so maybe another time. Hosts are very kind and responsive.

- furniture was uncomfortable for lounging while on vaca- not enough bedding (1 top sheet was missing)- towels smelled musty- could have been cleaner- need another box/pedestal fan for summer - seemed a little dated We would choose to stay there again, if the furnishings were updated a bit, and geared more towards a family relaxing on vacation.
