Wadano Gateway Suites & Apartments

Super clean and feels brand new! We actually wondered if we might have been among the first guests to stay here. The apartment is extremely well equipped and genuinely feels like a very liveable home rather than just a holiday rental. There are 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets, and it can comfortably sleep 6–7 people. The kitchen has everything you could need — fridge, oven, dishwasher, grill and all the basic cooking equipment. There’s also a big TV, which the kids loved. We ended up buying groceries and cooking our own dinner, which worked really well as there were very limited dinner options around during the time we stayed. Breakfast was simple, but honestly it didn’t bother us at all. Everyone in the family was happy with the stay. Clean, spacious, comfortable and very well equipped — we would happily stay here again!

Very nice facility with everything we needed as a family of 4. We were visiting Hakuba during the “green season”, so it was very quiet. The restaurants at the hotel were not open and staffing was short, but we had access to everything else that we needed including shuttle to and from the train station. Laundry was free (except for drying) and there was plenty of space for all four of us in the suite. Small kitchen in suite was a perk too. Very walkable distance into town, though we used the free rental bikes to get around as well. Get the included breakfast… it was so good! Thanks for a great stay!

The location and homey feel was very inviting. The reception staff were amazing and very accomodating

the breakfast staff were terrible, no matter what time we planned to go to breakfast they never had anything stocked, had to ask for simple things like bread, milk, cutlery, coffee cups, juices. The staff were just standing on their phones, or at a few points were just standing in a group outside the bar. They never greeted us or asked if we wanted the specials we had to ask, when we asked for food they would act like it was a hindrance to them, just replying with “ugh”. They were quite rude and made the stay at the apartment unenjoyable for breakfast
