GangnamStay - Foreign Female Only

It was such a pleasant stay. Sue and her mom run the hotel very well. She gave me a lot of recommendations before and during my stay. I appreciated the home-made Korean meals we could have almost every day and kimchi that was always available in the fridge, as well as other snacks. The fact that the hostel is women-only made the experience really comfortable as the other guests were quite respectful and clean. Can only recommend.

This hostel truly felt like a little home away from home. It’s quiet, clean, cozy, and filled with so much warmth. The owner is such a kind and caring person, and you can feel how much love she puts into every little detail. I especially loved the homemade soups and sharing little moments with her and the other guests. As a foreigner, it gave me such a beautiful chance to experience the warm, everyday side of Korea that you simply can’t get from a hotel. I made such lovely memories here, and leaving honestly felt a little sad. 🥹 I know this is a place I’ll keep coming back to whenever I’m in Seoul. Thank you for making me feel at home. I’ll remember this place for a very long time. 🤍🇰🇷

This hostel, and especially the hosts Sue and Park, have been truly amazing! I needed a place to stay before I could move into the university dorms, and they were so very welcoming. They explained everything very well, from how to get there, good places to eat, to fun activities to do in the area. The people that stayed in the hostel were also extremely nice, I made some good friends! It’s a very respectful and calm environment, you can explore Seoul from here or just chill on the couch all day (it’s a lovely couch). The beds are comfortable with good privacy. The place is cleaned daily and they often cook some fresh Korean food for the guests to enjoy! The location in Gangnam is also amazing, everything you could ever need is walking distance away. The hustle and bustle is very close by if you’re looking for that, but the hostel street itself is very quiet. I only have good things to say about the hostel and the host, I really enjoyed my time here and I would love to come back one day! And just an extra special thanks to Sue once more, because I made a mistake with the booking and she has been so extremely accommodating and helpful and trying to make everything work. Thank you so much Sue!

I love that it was right next to Gangnamdae-ro. A lot of shopping and restaurants close by. The staff were amazing! Thank you Sue, Chloe, Momma Sue, and cleaning staff!! Most amenities as well as food were included, so you barely need to get anything. Also, the staff would prepare specialty Korean cuisine every couple days. Me and my friend were spoiled with all the good food!

Not necessarily not like, but the shower/bathroom area was a little small. We made it work for the time we were there. However, you can shower in the other bathrooms. It was just a little inconvenient going up and down floors after a shower. A few bugs and mosquitoes. But they provide a little device that keeps the mosquitoes away.
