Though we didn’t meet them, the host was very considerate and accommodating, guiding us to easy access on our arrival. They providied us with delicious fruit plentiful enough for breakfast both days of our stay. The location is secluded, down a sloping side street that is like something out of a storybook. The balcony overlooking the Villa D’Este is definitely a standout feature.
This didn’t trouble us, but some might find it a challenge to haul luggage up the slope after their stay. There might be car access somewhere near the apartment that we were not aware of, but in any case there is somewhat of an uphill climb either to or from the entry door.

The location was amazing and the secret grotto was very welcoming after a very hot walk. Aug 2026
