Great apartment in the heart of Funchal. It is right in the old town. Close to everything you need: 5 minutes to the beach, to the Cathedral, to the bus stop and to the pick-up place for treks and trips. Loads of good restaurants nearby. The apartment is spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The bed is very comfortable. The air conditioning works very well. It was very quiet which I appreciated as I am a light sleeper. Sofia (the host) was very friendly and helpful.
My apartment was on the 2nd floor and there was no lift. It wasn't an issue for me but it won't be suitable for people with mobility problems or with a very heavy luggage. Having said that, the steps were not particularly steep.

Fantastic location, good price. Room was comfortable, clean, tidy and host very helpful and hospitable. If your plan for Madeira is for a central location base to go and explore the beautiful island then this is perfect. If you’re planning to relax and not do much with your time then book a hotel instead

Sofía is the nicest and most kind host! The apartment has a perfect location. It is literally close to everything. It is very clean, spacious and comfortable! Highly recommended! I would definitely stay again if I came back to Funchal.
Nothing! Many thanks to Sofia for her kindness and help!

Emplacement parfait, petit balcon sympa.
