This was our second trip. We had as much fun as the last time. Beautiful view right near Shenandoah river. Our dogs had a lot of fun swimming.

I was on a girl’s trip with a friend and our dogs to explore Shenandoah National Park, and we had a wonderful stay at this charming rustic farmhouse. The description and photos are accurate! The best part was the screened in porch! That’s where we spent almost all of our time when we were at the house. We also enjoyed the hot tub, having access to the river for the pups to splash around, and being so close to local attractions. If you’re looking for a day trip other than the national park, I highly recommend checking out Route 11 Chips (lots of free samples and a fun process too watch/learn about). Also, if you are like us and have a sweet tooth and love antiquing, go to Nana Lovey’s and then spend a few hrs browsing the Strasburg Emporium.We didn’t meet the host in person, but communication with her was very easy and pleasant - from her letting us check in a couple hrs early to giving us a heads up about some tree cleanup. Couple things to note:-Cell service & WiFi are a bit spotty, but I was happy to be able to put technology away! -There is a long steep gravel driveway to get to the house, but we had no trouble in our suv. -The path to the river is shared, so you might see some of the neighbors going down to fish, etc. If we’re back the area we would love to stay here again! Thank you!

We had such a wonderful weekend at the farmhouse. The property is rustic, beautiful, and incredibly peaceful, you can practically feel your stress melt away as soon as you pull in and get transported back in time. The views are amazing, the surroundings are completely immersed in nature, and the fields were perfect for our dog to run around and explore.The house itself is simple and rustic, but also extremely cozy and relaxing. Sitting in the hot tub looking at the stars was one of the highlights of the trip. We had no desire to turn on the TV or check our phones the entire time we were there.The true jewel of the property is the private river access. It is beautifully maintained, manicured and grassy with chairs and a fire pit, and feels like your own secluded little retreat. It was exactly the kind of peaceful country getaway we were looking for.Nina was an amazing host, friendly, responsive, and quick to answer every question. She even helped us find a dog walker in the area.I had the pleasure of meeting her while she was doing some yardwork and really enjoyed talking with her.We will absolutely be back!

Bring your own bed sheets and towels!!!! We didn’t even see that when booking this place because it was in the small fine print but this place doesn’t have linens.Otherwise we had a great time here and the hot tub was really nice
