The Queens Head Kettlesing

The Queens Head in Kettlesing is a gorgeous place to visit. We arrived and parked in the very spacious car park for a one night stay as we were visiting the Embsay and Bolton railway station. We went inside where we were greeted by a friendly lady who promptly showed us to our room which was large but cosy at the same time. It had everything that you needed and was very clean. We were asked if we would be requiring a table, but I had already booked one as it was so easy to do on the website. The evening meal was freshly made and very nice and hot and was served by friendly staff. In the morning we went down for our breakfast where we were greeted by another very friendly lady who explained our options and brought us our breakfast, which was again, freshly cooked and extremely tasty. Overall, this a lovely place to stay and I would not hesitate to stay here again if I am in that area.

There was nothing to dislike.

Very much a home from home type of hotel.Comfortable bed, good breakfast. easy parking, just a nice place to stay.

Shower over the bath although adequate is a little dated

Very good English breakfast cooked to order. Very comfortable room of character. Beautifully appointed bar and restaurant Very kind, helpful staff Quality simple home cooking

The shower was a little lacking in power.

Lovely location in the countryside with good access to Yorkshire Dales.

One member of staff in the bar/restaurant was unfriendly and poorly suited for a public facing role. This was in stark contrast to all the other staff who were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Every evening when we ordered a bottle of wine it was brought open to the table. We mentioned both these concerns to the delightful Manager at checkout.
