Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die Freundlichkeit der Gastgeber, die es mir ermöglicht haben, spät im April hier einen Tag Ski zu fahren. Ich wurde von der Bushaltestelle abends abgeholt, habe noch ein warmes Essen serviert bekommen, als einziger Gast im Essraum und habe danach noch den Ofuro (heißes Bad) genießen können. Am nächsten Morgen konnte ich direkt im Hotel die Skiausrüstung mieten und wurde anschließend zum Sessellift gefahren. Am Nachmittag dann wurde ich abgeholt und zur Bushaltestelle gebracht. Herzlichen Dank nochmal, dass Sie das alles möglich gemacht haben! Das Zimmer war hell und hatte einen schönen Blick auf die Berge. Besonders fand ich den Essraum, ganz anders als man es sonst wo, auch in Japan, gewohnt ist. Hatte irgendwas Gemütliches, passend für die Bergregion. Die Unterkunft hat einige schöne Motorschlitten, mit denen im Winter Touren angeboten werden, bestimmt eine tolle Aktivität.

Das Haus selbst ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und könnte eine Renovierung vertragen. Ähnlich die Skiausrüstung, die recht alt war, besonders die Schuhe. Hat aber alles seinen Zweck erfüllt.

It’s very near Kumanoyu ski area, just a 3 min drive away. Breakfast and dinner was amazing! Highly recommend everyone to get half board as there are no restaurants in the area. You’ll not regret it :)

Small flight of stairs up to the elevator, a little challenging especially if you have heavy luggage.

Location was great, right in the middle of the different resorts. We did have a car which made Shiga very easy to navigate. Our room was beautiful and clean with tatami mats and futons. Plenty of space for our luggage and hanging clothes. The staff were a highlight, very kind and welcoming. It is a small family run business and they make you feel at home. I am allergic to fish and seafood so don’t normally eat set menus but the staff were so thorough and understanding of my allergy so I gave it a go and the food was great and safe! The other members of my group also loved their meals. So much food! They also have an onsen with natural hot springs close by. Overall, very happy with this stay and we are lucky to have stumbled across it. We will be coming back!
