Thought the bar was very expensive £36 for glass wine and double rum and coke

The pool was lovely. Staff were friendly.

Prices on menus were not as advertised, felt greedy from the hotel. For example: - fish and chips costs £5 more on a Sunday than it does on a Saturday, - charging extra for sides where on the menu it said they were included, - at breakfast there is a hidden service charge that is not shared until check out. Breakfast overpriced and disappointing. Rooms with internal interconnecting doors are noisy

Location

Room was not fully renovated/finished. Especially bathroom. Loud banging of doors reverberated through room. Bed linen was clean but was obviously brand new and had never been laundered. You could tell by the strong smell.

We stayed in the dated apartments, We knew this upon booking. Views were stunning , large and airy rooms and good kitchen area. Balcony was lovely overlooking the Solent. New pool area is amazing. And all the new updated areas are lovely.

The check in process was similar to that in Faulty Towers, they had lost our key to the apartment. Think they may have some sort of bugs as a couple of my friends had bites. Some staff were great but I’d say the majority weren’t particularly helpful. We asked for some ice at the pool area, having brought a £50 bottle of luke warm wine, was advised by the lady at the pool bar that we would have to wait 30mins for a colleague! I decided to get dressed and head over to Martha’s to get my own. Steam room at the Spa was out of order, no windows inside, so I found it quite depressing.
