Parador de Salamanca

View of Old City and ease to access by car. Walking distance to Old City although a bit longer than we expected.

We were expecting a historic building not modern one. Some staff in the restaurants were not as friendly maybe needs to be advised to be more cheerful and courteous.

The hotel was beautiful inside and in a great location. Our room was fantastic with an amazing view and was very quiet.

The breakfast was a bit disappointing, not as much variety as we would have liked and the coffee was horrible.

Good traditional hotel with easy parking and access to the centre of Salamanca

Slightly musty smell in the room and no tea or coffee making facilities.

Parking is easy and the room was spacious and the bed very good

The reception staff attitude was below expectations. At check in we were told, in a perfunctory manner, that they had not received our dinner reservation and that the restaurant was full. We had specifically chosen this hotel because we had enjoyed the restaurant on a previous visit so this was very disappointing . We ate in the cafeteria which was not great although our server was very pleasant. Our bathroom had no plug in the basin. We asked for one and was told, by the receptionist, that this could not be provided until the following day after we had left. Not good enough in a four star hotel. This Parador hotel is behind the times. It was cold in the morning with no heating in the bathroom that worked and no in room facilities at all (Tea, Coffee etc.). We will not stay here again.
