GH Palazzo Suite & SPA

The staff were knowledgeable and really helpful and friendly. They remembered us each day, always greeting us with a smile and asking how we were. They remembered what we drank the day before for breakfast or at the bar and were so tentative to our needs, nothing to was too much trouble from food to organising taxi's. The rooms were clean and were cleaned every day. Make sure you get a room with a sea view, we sat at our window drinking tea and coffee watching the world and ships go by.

Could of done without the aircon leaking in our room at 2.30am! That was just one of those things and the reception staff gave us towels to mop up and was fixed first thing the next morning.

Roof top pool was excellent with a fantastic view. Staff were very friendly and attentive and made us feel special, particularly with a welcome drink at the bar and then a complimentary bottle of bubbles delivered to our room which was an unbelievable surprise. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant too. overall we wish we had stayed for a couple of nights before our onward journey through Tuscany.

Beautiful building and great location. The staff is genuinely polite and professional (and charmingly loud in true Italian style!). Dinner was also decent.

We paid over €600 for 3 nights. We weren't expecting high-end luxury at that price, but basic standards should still apply. Misleading booking: Paid for a sea-view room with a balcony, but got NO balcony. Reception claimed balconies are assigned "randomly" (not stated on Booking!). Offered a room switch the next day, but facing the back. Dated & dusty: Beautiful 1884 building, but the room had ancient dust, broken TV remote, faulty outlets, and horribly dirty hallway carpets. Dining: Restaurant tries to feel fancy (despite plastic chairs), but breakfast was weak for a 5-star label. Parking: The attendant outside with the clipboard was very insistent in suggesting we park our humble Fiat 500 in the back while luxury cars stayed up front (might have just been a language gap, but felt a bit odd).
