Radisson Blu Hotel, Edinburgh City Centre

Great location. Decent rooms. Comfy bed.

Minor things, like shower over bath didn’t give much room. Toiletries provided seemed to be the same generic refilled liquid for shampoo and body wash. For the price you expect (and can get) better.

Lovely room with hill view. Room service was tasty and not a long wait. Great location for the tourist spots and cafes and pubs.

Reception was not helpful. We booked this hotel and had a confirmation from booking.com but he said it wasn’t on their system. Had to wait 3 hours for it to “show up” on his system. I was on crutches and my husband had to deal with all the luggage (I had just got back from 7 hours at the ER after falling down some stairs) He didn’t offer to help with bags or mention there was a luggage cart. He also didn’t direct us to the elevator that was closest to our room so we had to navigate through several double fire doors to get to our room at 2 am. We were really struggling and he didn’t offer an ounce of compassion. He shouldn’t be in hospitality.

Shower was a little challenging to use. Having a bath mat was good. Food was excellent; staff very helpful.

Good location. Comfortable beds.

Way too expensive for what you get. Breakfast was mediocre
