The location, facilities, bar and restaurant. Most staff were lovely but the check by genZ staff were awful.
Good and plentiful free parking. Good reasonable food and drink. TV and heating worked, no central heat on.

Great food, a good ambience and lots of interesting racing memorabilia.
Shower was a bit low in water pressure. Toilet roll holder was loose in the plaster as some previous occupant had obviously knocked it (no dust/bits on the floor so not us).

We stopped at the Stag Room on our motorbike tour and the fact it has links to the adjacent Piston Club with regular bike and motoring events was a nice draw for us. The hotel room was fairly basic but comfortable and the themed restaurant/bar area was very relaxed. Had a great meal.
Bit more customer service in the restaurant would be helpful; the staff were pleasant enough but not overly customer orientated. There was no upselling here but felt like we missed out on some options/choices during ordering and constantly had to ask and chase for basics. I think they are perhaps more used to catering for their regular customers rather than welcoming new (and poetntially returning) guests.
