The room was spacious and clean, modern. Breakfast was well assorted, very good continental style
Personally, for a 4-star hotel I would expect some details to be more polished. some examples. The room number was given on a post-it at check-in, no instructions for the wifi were provided by the receptionist, there was no body-lotion, nor conditioner in the bathroom; the room didn't offer a kettle with complimentary coffee and tea, nor water (all not mandatory but very common in 4-star hotels nowadays); the shower base was slippery and when taking the shower, water would spray all over the place (outside the shower), making it a bit too dangerous for my taste. Working on these details would ensure a better value-for-money.

Clean and spacious room. Shower took a bit of practice to stop flooding the floor!
The bar being shut on Sunday night

The staff on Reception were lovely, very helpful
It was advertised as having a restaurant which is part of the reason why we chose it. The website was a bit vague as to the opening times. Then on Saturday night, having walked all the way back after a day out- and no taxis being available due to the public transport strike- we were tired and needed to feed the kids- and were shocked to hear there was no dinner and so the option was a takeaway sat on our beds in our room- which was average. Very disappointing.
The other issue was that the mattresses were very hard and my back ached the next day. In contrast the pillows were too soft and didn’t support my neck.
