The view and the room were amazing. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is a highlight.

Very classy and stylish hotel overlooking a lake. The room was very stylish with individual works of art in each room, comfortable bed and quiet at night.
The underground parking space is very practical, with direct connection to the hotel itself, and staff were courteous and helpful.
Parking is not cheap - but maybe that applies to all of Hamburg?
The hotel is close to the train station and the Kunsthalle but a little walk away from the city centre, something to keep in mind.
And unfortunately we had no view of the lake, just a rather drab inner courtyard.

Good room size and amenities, cleanliness very good, nice rooftop bar.
Check-in process was completely unacceptable. Long lines of customers waiting for one, later two check-in staff. Total time between getting there and getting our room key was about 50 minutes (!), of which 20 minutes were "Sorry, your room is not ready yet" (at 2:40pm). No explanations, no apologies for the long wait.
Noisy air conditioning in room cannot be switched off - only way is to open the window which disables it.
