Van der Valk Hotel Hildesheim

Pillows The bathroom door didn’t close all the way

This gem of a hotel is right on the old square in the city. It’s about a 10 min walk from the station. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We ate in the hotel restaurant once and the food was delicious. We also used the spa facilities although the pool was closed for the last 2 days of our trip which was a bit disappointing. We would especially like to mention Stan the bar manager who was always so welcoming, friendly and helpful. He’s a real asset to the hotel and we’d like to say a special thank you for helping to make our stay so enjoyable.

There wasn’t really anything not to like.

the location of the hotel was excellent; also, I enjoyed the quality and the choices of the breakfast

Location is good if you want to be in the city center

Parking situation was atrocious, room decor was somewhat crowded. Pool and fitness was closed for renovations. Breakfast was great in a beautiful setting.
