Radisson Blu Hotel Karlsruhe

The hotel is in a very good location for discovering the area and places around it . It’s renovated and decent for a short stay

I like to come to a clean room the last day even though we had the sign for the house cleaning to clean the room but when we came at night it was in the same state we left it.

Hôtel sympa, propre, insonorisé, petit déjeuner super. Chambres décorées avec goût.

Réception un peu brouillonne, on a du attendre 30 mins pour notre chambre. Télécommande TV manquante mais tout a pu s’arranger. Parking payant :/

The check in time was longer than I would have liked, and the key didn't work when I tried to open the door so I had to return to reception. As did another guest, so I assume there was an issue with this on the day. The room was bright, very well decorated and had everything that we might have needed including tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was also large and bright. The car park and accessibility from the motorway were excellent. We had a drink in the bar and I have to say that the barman made our stay, his name was Memduh and he deserves a pat on the back and I suspect a pay rise, he was full of good cheer, happiness and a great example of a professional in hospitality.

As mentioned the check in took longer than needed, there was an issue with the room key and the reception team weren't the friendliest. The greatest disappoint was the restaurant food. It was a buffet style, which I wouldn't expect in a Radisson Blu, and it was lukewarm warm, poor quality for both dinner and breakfast. Dishes weren't refilled for dinner and others had been there so long they looked awful. I can understand this is easier if the hotel isn't busy for dinner, but having some items you could order perhaps in the bar would have been nice, in particular as paying for a three course meal when you only want something small. I would also ask that rather than just beer and soft drinks as a drink option, could a small glass of wine also be included.
