"The location was perfect for the castle and cathedral, two minutes either way. Secure carpark across the road was a bonus. Lovely clean hotel and rooms. Breakfast was very good with fresh cooked food...."

Location, bar, comfy room

The lift was awful and my breakfast poor. Strange access from their car park The hotel felt like a chain hotel and rather inflexible

8 / 10Excellent·oct. 2026

Hotel & location! Breakfast great.

Most worrying: Room door would not lock from the inside....physically impossible, no hole for the bolt ! Reported this. Wouldn't want to be a lady alone ! Dinner bill wrong three times....first overcharge was £100, +50%. Had stuff in it from some ekses lunch 😳 Check it !!!! Room very hot ! Slept no covers ! Don't go if weather over 20C+

Location

Hotel very tired, bedroom dull, too large and impersonal. On top of the overly expensive stay, breakfast was extra, I left a phone charger behind, and had to pay postage to get it back. TV in room did not work, lighting was not fully working.
