voco The Clifton Folkestone by IHG

A very bright and spacious room with an amazing sea view. The breakfast is exceptional. So much variety and good quality. Very attentive staff on hand to assist.

Nothing to dislike

The room was everything we wanted large wonderful view clean and bright

Lovely restaurant good outside seating

Very good breakfast

Very small lift

The location is excellent: the hotel is only a 15-minute walk from the train station and is situated right next to the beautiful green cliffs. It is a wonderful area for walking and enjoying the surrounding scenery.

The hotel does not provide bathrobes or slippers, even upon request. I specifically asked the staff for them and was told that the hotel does not offer them at all. There were no basic bathroom amenities either, which was particularly disappointing for a four-star property. We booked a king room, but the main photo shown during the booking process featured a room that looked considerably larger, brighter and more attractively furnished than the one we received. Although our actual room could also be found among the other photos, the main image created a very different impression and set expectations that were not met. The substantial difference between rooms in the same category was disappointing.
