Location
Room equipped for a single not a double occupancy. Fire alarms went off at 5am on second night. No staff on hand to advice residents who evacuated their rooms to street and courtyard for over 30 mins before or after alarms went off.

Rustic charm. Old school traditional hotel in an old building with lots of history. The rooms are clean but not modernised to be at odds with the setting and building itself. Ie low exposed beams old windows and so on.
Sound proofing could have been better or amourous parties warned that everyone can hear their shenanigans

Heritage and the room itself was fantastic The cleanliness of the room and facilities in the room were fabulous. The room service each day was perfect. The reception staff went out of their way to be lovely.
The afternoon tea was appalling. There was no dinner or lunch service breakfast was by far the worst I’ve ever had. The outside steps on the handrail to our room was filthy, covered in bird droppings and gravel - the noise of the night time was disturbing
