Shillingford Bridge Hotel

The fact that it was near the Thames, friendly and helpful staff and waitresses incredible.

The place is very rundown! Desperately needs a spruce up, paint, new carpets. The breakfast left a lot to be desired - it needs to be a buffet. It became really difficult to change anything - chef didn’t make allowances for different food preferences. We wanted an egg with the kippers, I asked for eggs to be fried in butter. Got negative response.

It was one of four mini bungalows away from the main building overlooking the river.

A slope and/or stairs to get to it. Some windows didn’t close properly.

Beautiful location this could be an amazing hotel but the new owners have really let it slip and will not spend money on the place , it needs full modernisation our room was big and spacious but had a weird lingering smell and just looked haggard. There is a really nice outdoor Swimming Pool here but the owners won’t invest to bring it back to life . The food and breakfast in the restaurant was lovely and the young waitress was lovely as was the receptionist we had who was very helpful too . It’s really sad when owners only think about profit if you invested in this hotel it could be absolutely stunning .

As I said it needs fully modernising and updating it was also averagely clean could be alot better .
