Great staff

I booked in later and was super surprised to get an amazing room upgrade and late check out

Location. I had meetings in the area so easily within walking distance distance

We didn’t get the name of the Concierge but he want out of his way to make our stay exceptional. We happened to mention it was my husbands birthday and with that a lovely bottle of fizz as sent up to our room. Really lovely touch!

Breakfast was a little chaotic but with the amount of guests staying I guess it’s inevitable!

The May Fair Hotel is in an excellent location, and our room was spacious and comfortable. The front desk staff were pleasant, helpful and professional throughout our stay.

For a 5-star hotel, we felt some of the service and attention to detail fell below expectations. There was no turndown service, no room slippers, limited amenities, and even no teaspoon provided for making coffee. Housekeeping was also inconsistent — on one occasion our room was only serviced around 5:30pm, and towels and the bathroom floor mat were not always replaced. Most disappointing was that I had requested a surprise birthday arrangement for my daughter for our arrival, but unfortunately nothing was arranged. It was meant to be a special moment for her, so this was particularly disappointing.
