Beautiful setting 🥳 & dog friendly 🐶
I loved all of it ❤️
8 / 10Excellent·oct. 2026
Comfortable old hotel located close to the area we wanted to visit. It is also dog friendly so we had our two dogs with us on this visit and they joined us when we had dinner and also in the breakfast room in the morning.
Nothing at all. We had stayed in this hotel twice several years ago so this was our third visit.

Staff were all lovely and the food was really good.
Place feels tired - stains on carpet, chair and bed cover made room feel unclean.

Very convenient for Bury St Edmunds
Lack of grab handle in the bath when using the shower, additionally the bath was quite badly chipped but still very functional

"I felt like I had paid 10x what I had, a 4 poster bed in a unique property with a lovely bar and gardens to sit in.
I think I liked everything!"
