Convenient location for a night out. Beautiful building. Lovely big rooms. Comfy bed. Great facilities. Lovely staff and a tasty breakfast. Also, near the climbing centre!
It’s to be expected, but the creaky floors can be a bit annoying if someone is up and about in an adjacent room at night.

I cannot remember , but I thought that my search filters was for breakfast. So was surprised to see that as an extra. Admittedly the boking confirmation reflected that, However I was only looking for the booking to be confirmed, not that he met my filters - I took that as read.
As with many hotels I found the duvet far to heavy. IO must remember to take our own with me in future.
There was no curtain to the ensuite frosted glazed door, nor a curtain to the outside frosted window. All lined up with a security light - had to use a towel to partially block the light.
There was also a continuous drone throughout the night - extraction fan or cooling fan perhaps. But not good at the best of times; especially if still going after say midnight; especially on a timber framed property.
