Berk Guest House - Grandma's House

Fantastic location, amazing rooftop view, great breakfast served fresh every morning! The reviews of Berk's Guesthouse were absolutely correct, we loved our 5 day stay here. Yesim and Ahmed are the owners and hosts and couldn't be more kind or welcoming. It was terrific to get to know them at breakfast each morning. The rooftop patio is very cute and gives a great view across to the Galata Tower, huge bonus of the property. It's a very well maintained, cared for, and loved house with many regulars returning. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms clean. The location is perfect; Topaki Palace is 5 minute walk, Hagia Sophia is 5 min walk (in the other direction), The Blue Mosque was less than 10 min, Basilica Cisterns, waterfront, Gülhane Park; we were able to walk everywhere and the tram stop was also quite close. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

A charming, traditional old house lovingly run by a wonderful couple who make you feel right at home. The hotel is perfectly located within walking distance of Istanbul’s most famous attractions. Despite the lively streets and crowds during the day, the atmosphere becomes wonderfully peaceful in the evening. Our room was cozy and had a lovely terrace, and the breakfast was traditional and delicious. Highly recommended! We will definitely return!

First and foremost, the family who own and operate this place are helpful and kind, offering true hospitality. They genuinely care about their guests. My room was small but clean and the bed was comfortable. Good hot water and great water pressure. Breakfast was fresh with lots of variety, very enjoyable. Located a 2 minute walk from Aya Sophia, bus stop, tram stop etc.

The only downside here is noise, which is probably an issue for any hotel in Sultanahmet. The neighborhood is lively, so there is street noise and the early morning call to prayer. I slept just fine with ear plugs.

Its near Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, just walking distance.. so many restaurants here, they provide shuttles to the airport..recommended!
