Quiet close to beach warm and very clean

Location not much there

The location was close to the beach at Watergate Bay (surfers love this place), the apartment was clean with a well equipped kitchen, a large shower room and a separate WC. The underfloor heating was effective and we had a balcony which was big enough for the two of us. The building was mostly quiet. There are plenty of walks to enjoy and a couple of nearby bars/restaurants.

Our apartment overlooked two carparks so views were not exactly scenic. The balcony was on top of the bin store roof, which could have been unpleasant in hot weather. The booking details listed 'no pets allowed', which was one of the main reasons why we picked this place, (we much prefer to stay in healthy, hygienic properties), but in reality we noticed two apartments in our building with dogs. Each apartment is allocated one free car parking space, which sounds reasonable, but the spaces are so ridiculously small that although you could just about park a typical family-sized car between the white lines, getting in and out of the car was a real challenge. There is a paid car park a short distance away so that may be an option for people with larger vehicles. Finding a pub or restaurant with a no-pets policy is a real challenge in this part of Cornwall.
