Elektra Beach Hotel

We liked pretty much everything about our stay. The breakfast was generous, with plenty of options to choose from, and it varied slightly from day to day, so it never felt boring. The hotel has a very good location, close to Chania, with many lovely beaches nearby, as well as a great pool area. The real star, however, is Sofia, who works at the bar. She is incredibly friendly, welcoming and service-minded. She gave us lots of great tips about places to visit in the area. Thanks to her, we ended up spending almost every evening at the bar, which was always a very pleasant experience. She is definitely someone you should take good care of!

The only downside of the hotel was that they did not provide beach towels. In such a location, where sun and swimming are the main activities, and with a large pool area, I would have expected guests to be able to borrow a pool towel. Instead, the receptionist told me that they simply do not offer them. When I then asked for some extra towels, I was also told no. When I pointed out that I thought this was poor service, the receptionist did not even look up at me again whenever I passed by the reception during my 12-night stay. I work as a hotel manager myself, and I honestly think the two gentlemen working at reception could learn a thing or two about customer service. Sofia’s outstanding service attitude, together with the lovely ladies at breakfast and the housekeeping team, significantly raises the overall impression of the hotel.

Not enough vege options and items not clear, had to keep asking what things were, sun loungers are the most uncomfortable I've ever experienced, there was a lot of noise from the cleaners at 7.30am which woke us up despite having politely asked them if they could keep it a bit quiet. Not enough restaurant/cafés options if you have some dietary restrictions in the area hut close to lidl etc there's a lot more...not ideal on rainy days and we've had 3 in a week's stay...

La chambre était super, grande, lit confortable et avec un frigo. Un grand merci à Sofia au bar pour sa gentillesse, ses délicieux milkshake et son sourire. La piscine était bien. Il y a un arrêt de bus pour la Chania ( environ 20 min) juste à côté de l’hôtel. Merci au personnel de l’accueil d’avoir cherché de partout un chargeur pour ma liseuse ☺️ Hôtel vraiment face à la mer, plage à 5 min à pied.

La douche était petite. Le petit déjeuner était varié mais pas de très bonne qualité. C’est correct.
