Above all the peace and quiet. Lovely comfortable room, very relaxed and welcoming staff, cosy and beautiful interiors to communal areas. Fabulous location in heart of village and easy walk to the stunning Rutland waters.
Exceptional breakfast.

Our bedroom was very well appointed - modern. The situation was stunning. It was beautifully warm and cosy and we enjoyed an excellent breakfast.

Comfortable room, helpful staff, deicious breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Couldn't find a hairdryer in the room. No plug points near the bed.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting. It is generally well kept and attractive.
The staff were generally helpful but scruffy and too casual. The receptionist spent most of her time in a tatty black cardigan and Ugg boots. The South African barman appeared in a stained white T-shirt. The place is not cheap and the standard of the staff presentation wasn't up to scratch. The room layout was also not good - couldn't plug in the hairdryer anywhere within reach of a mirror

"Free upgrade from Twin to Large King which was a nice surprise. The room was very clean with a great walk in shower. Nice view from bedroom with church in the background. Lovely relaxing area outside ..."
