Ibis Tunis

It is a classic Ibis and it is located close to city center Medina. Rooms are nice. Normal. Nothing to complain. Comfortable bed. Nice WiFi. Excellent staff.

Water flow is not enough at 7th floor.

A very good hotel and helpful staff. Breakfast was good and also dinner. You can have diner at the restaurant. They have a good variety of dishes which are very good. I recommend this hotel.

Very disappointing experience at Ibis Tunis Unfortunately, our check-in experience was very uncomfortable and unprofessional. First, the front desk did not have change available. Then, after giving us the room keys, the lady working at night suddenly asked to see our marriage certificate. I showed it to her on my phone, but she attempted to email the document to herself. I was not comfortable having a private personal document copied or emailed, especially when I had only agreed to show it for verification. After my husband showed his American passport, she dropped the matter. What made the situation worse was her attitude. She was very rude and made the interaction unnecessarily uncomfortable. When I asked for her name afterward, instead of simply providing it, she questioned why I wanted her name. I will simply refer to her as the lady working the night shift. I understand that hotels may need to verify certain documents, but there is a big difference between viewing a document for verification and requesting to retain or email a copy of a private document. Guests should be informed clearly if a document needs to be copied and why. On the positive side, the other staff members we encountered were friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the behavior of the night receptionist left a very negative impression and made what should have been a simple check-in unnecessarily stressful.
