Fletcher Hotel - Restaurant Nautisch Kwartier

Loved the location, the very attentive staff, the food was delicious, and the hotel itself is gorgeous.

We booked the room with a large balcony, and spa bath. Despite the fact that the sun was shining when we woke up in the morning, we couldn't use the balcony, because nobody covered or put the lounge cushions inside before the rain. We would have been very happy if they were in our room when we arrived, and we could have put them out in the morning and enjoyed the balcony we had upgraded for. Also, the furniture placement was messy, like it had never been tidied up, and there was an ashtray on the coffee table, which for someone that is very anti-smoking, it was off-putting. There is absolutely nowhere in the shower to put cosmetics. That meant I had to get out of the shower to get shampoo, again for my conditioner, again for my face wash, and again for my body wash. This made me cold and annoyed, and absolutely soaked the floor. I would love to stay again, because apart from the above and the shocking lighting, I loved this hotel, and the staff. Next time, I'll bring a make-up mirror so that I have enough light to do my make-up. I may also bring something I can hang in the shower yo hold a few cosmetics.

The breakfast was simple, and not worth the price.

Location was very nice.

The photos of the room we booked was most likely from when the room was new. The wallpaper was old and staring to loos grip at many joints. The plaster ceiling in the bathroom was hanging from moist giving a 5cm opening into the above area with electricals for the downlight. (light that did work when you hit it once or twice every day)
