Greenwoods Thekkady - A Five Star Classified Resort

The location of the property and the property itself was amazing. Lovely grounds. Very attentive staff from the reception to the restaurant. The daily activities were nice option. We stayed in a villa and the rooms were spacious. Close to town so could walk in the evening to the shops and return. Room was very clean.

The rooms itself seem a bit bare . It could use some nice artwork to make it more cozy and nicer lighting. The additional bed we requested for our daughter was a hard wood plank as base so uncomfortable despite a thicker mattress on top. The morning breakfast could use some more additional items given that it is a five star hotel. There were no appams at breakfast time especially since it is a Kerala food item. The property is so beautiful but it does not really have a spacious lounge area to relax and enjoy the outdoor area unless you sit in the restaurant.

CENTRE OF TOWN . EASILY ACCESIBLE TO ALL TOURIST SPOTS . FOOD IS GOOD . CHEF SIVA , CAPTAIN AND ALL DINING STAFF ARE GOOD . PROPERTY IS VERY GREEN AND WELL MAINTAINED .

FRONT OFFICE INTERNS COULD BE MORE FRIENDLY AND FASTER . MORE USEFUL ACTIVITIES MAY BE ARRANGED . INDOOR GAMES CAN BE UPGRADED . FOOD MENU COULD INCLUDE SOME NATIVE SPREAD TOO .

Location staff was good welcoming friendly

Jacuzzi was cold cannot say it’s a jacuzzi. It’s takes 24 hours to heat up one day before as per the staff . Food was delayed for one to two hours for lunch . There was some confusion with the orders . We had to upgrade the room because it’s not up to the expectations. The jacuzzi and pool was cold . Even the main swimming pool did not have water regulator. To. Have medium temperature. We upgraded to presidential room but also was very hot the water . Either very cold or very hot not for children. Hopefully next time the pool will have medium temperature so all people can enjoy. Food standards also needs to be upgraded as 5 star with timings of drinks very late and not served on time.
