Palazzo De Giorgi B&B

Stunning house really nicely decorated. Real attention to details. The owner is lovely. Few steps to the historic center but you can park very close without driving to ZTL zone. Lecce is a beautiful town and buzzing in the evening. We had the perfect stay with a lovely breakfast.

We had a great stay. Daniele the host was very nice and was there to greet us as we had requested to store our luggage until check in. As it happens the room was ready when we arrived so that was a bonus. His wife made a beautiful fruit tart for the breakfast, which is served in the room. Absolutely gorgeous. Breakfast was good and well thought-through. We had fresh eggs with a little egg cooker, bread, tea, coffee, juice, yoghurt, and of course the tart. Ideal. The rooms are on the first floor of a big beautiful old building. The location was spot on just on the edge of the old town with the train station an easy walk away - about 5mins. There were some bars down the street but the noise was not a bother because the windows are really decent and the shutters block out all the light. We slept very well. The rooftop is also great if you fancy taking a drink or book up there for some sunshine away from other people.

Struggling to pick a fault to be honest. I did skid on a rug which kept sliding around so perhaps that needs a rethink. The cleaners come at 11am so you have to be up and out by then (late for some, but at this point in our tour of Puglia we were flagging a little!). But the system works - had they come later we wouldn’t have had the bonus of our early check in so can’t complain. Overall nothing would stop us from booking to stay here if we come to Lecce again.

We stayed in the Deluxe Double which was wonderful. The apartment has 2 large rooms, a living room with breakfast area and bedroom. The decor in the rooms is thoughtful and in keeping with the building. There was also the bonus a roof terrace. Our host, Daniele was great and communication was easy. The breakfast was good and home made cake each day was amazing. The property is on the southern edge of the old town and very convenient for the train station. We would definitely stay here again.
