The Quinta is quite well hidden in the valley, so its a beautiful quiet calm space. Our hostess on the evening was wonderful, she checked us in, showed us the quinta and was there to serve dinnner to us that evening. They do like you to book your main course before arrival, it was cooked perfectly, there was a nice choice of wine as you'd expect, desserts etc. Breakfast the next morning was continental but with a great choice.

The only issue was due to a fault the hot tub wasn't working, it was too cool to use the outdoor pool and a soak in the hot-tub would have been nice after a long day in the car.

Chambre un peu petite

Beautiful pool overlooking quiet valley. Very warm friendly staff, most spoke English, all very keen to help and make sure we enjoyed our stay. Helped with extra requests like a bit of milk to make English tea. Enormous portions of good local food for dinner. A fun celebration of a Saints day in the garden with a barbecue. Nice toweling robes for the pool/spa. Balcony with lovely view.

There were a few things that would have made it more comfortable. The wall and door between the room and bathroom was glass. It was easy to miss seeing this as it was very clear and clean - I walked into it in the night. I have been to other properties with glass doors and they have large decals or stickers at eye level to alert you to them. This would be a good idea - you can’t turn on the bathroom light at night as the glass lights up the bed area so lots of people will be navigating this in low light. Other small things - some hooks or a rail to hang the toweling robes. It was hard to get them dry. A shelf in the shower for soap/shampoo so you don’t have to open the shower door each time. Non slip mat under the rugs. Maybe more sound insulation from corridor - I wasn’t too bothered but you can hear everything. Also maybe just me but i would have liked non-alcoholic drinks on the menu - ideally 0.0 zero beers - it’s a long way from shop and there is no fridge so you are reliant on what they have and if you can’t drink alcohol then there aren’t so many options. But the lemonade was delicious!

Check in was really good, friendly and informative. The pool area seemed nice and the stream going through is really nice.

Our accommodation was a bit hard to get to as we had 2 large suitcases, we had to carry them up 2 flights of stairs. Maybe mention this in the description of that specific room so that guests are fully informed. Breakfast was average. Checkout was a bit frustrating. For some reason the front door was stuck and couldn’t get in. Had to go around through the pool. No one was at reception to check out. Waited around for 10 minutes and then had to go to kitchen area to get someone.
