Amazing view with huge windows, beautiful building and the grape vines inside with the medieval walls inside of the halls were just mind-blowing. The apartment small but sufficient even for 3, with everything you need for a short stay, quiet and beautiful. One of the best bookings I've ever made and I booked a lot here!

The View of the River, looking over to Porto. It's brilliant.
A walkway along the river (separate from cars) takes you in 10 minutes to the Ghia Quay - 50 minute cruise, Eating places galore, Start point for the big River Cruise ships. Recommended - the "Market" where you choose which stall(s) will provide your meal.
A busy tourist area. Beyond is the Dom Luis bridge over to Porto.
Local people are friendly and willing to help you. Taxi fares are reasonable.
TIP - Do get your access info before you leave home. We only got the info after we were outside the block not knowing the codes.

Without a car, food shopping is difficult. Navigating a walk to the big Auchan supermarket was a challenge - uphill (of course), twists and turns, roadworks. We did come across a community escalator on route. Nice surprise.
A small supermarket is about 20 minutes walk away. Along the river so flat. Side road just before Sandeman's establishment.
Big snag for us was no overhead lighting in the flat. For reading in the evening, we had to cluster around the small bedside lamp provided.
