The breakfast had a large variety of food types and drink options.
The bedroom was spacious and very comfortable.
The artwork and furnishings.
That there were only 2 areas you could smoke, outside at tables near the hotel front entrance and at the pool deck.
There was lack of staffing at the bar on the pool deck. One night I helped my self to a beer, and informed the staff member when they arrived. If there is not going to be someone there full time, there should be a buzzer on the bar or a phone to call for service.

Location is excellent.
Property is an old colonial hotel but well maintained and very cosy.
Staff friendly and very helpful.
Buffet breakfast is good and the restaurant is spacious.
Bathroom is old and a little bit dangerous to use the shower in the bathtub, sometimes slippery.

Maybe i chose an internal room but it was a bad choice if so. The shower need’s upgrading. The music/noise played in lobby and restaurant in evening drove me to request a change,

The WiFi worked well, the TV was good, and the water pressure in the bathroom was excellent. The room was available on arrival, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel lobby is particularly impressive and looks like a small museum. The location of the hotel is also very good.
The furniture and overall interior are quite old, worn out, and in need of renovation. The breakfast was an absolute disaster, especially for European guests. The selection and quality were extremely disappointing and far below what one would expect from a five-star hotel.
Overall, despite being advertised as a five-star hotel, I would rate it as a three-star, max. four-star property at best. The breakfast in particular was absolutely terrible and unacceptable for a hotel claiming five stars.
