Aliya Resort and Spa - Thema Collection

Loved this hotel. It is beautiful. The pool is exceptional and fabulously located. Rooms are large and well equipped. Breakfast was varied and delicious and eating in the hotel in the evening was also really good. Staff were incredible - so helpful andfriendly. Lots to do onsite. Lovely spa with very affordable treatments.

Aliya resort was an incredible hotel! Firstly, the pool was spectacular, it was a gigantic infinity pool with an incredible view of sigiriya rock and the jungle! Secondly, the staff were amazing, going out of their way so much to ensure we had the best stay possible. Special shoutout to Sampath, who was so friendly and anticipated our every need, and to the activity organizers who helped us in the gym and in the cricket ground. Thirdly, the grounds were great, with a big cricket ground, 2 pools, a badminton court, a volleyball court, table tennis, pottery and paper recycling. The food was so good, both the buffets and the à la carte were amazing! The location was also great, only a short drive to habarana or sigiriya for dinner or just to visit. Lastly, the rooms were amazing and comfortable, with 2 floors and comfy beds. Thank you so much Aliya resort for making our stay so incredible!

View of the rock and the friendly staff make it a lovely place to visit.

The day spa not great compared to others. Very hot in the treatment rooms and wasn't an overall relaxing experience. Not sure how qualified they are. We dined at the Chinese restaurant it was very tired.
