The Elm Tree Inn

Room was large, comfy, good shower. Staff were very nice. Outside decking area was lovely.

There was some noise from what sounded like an extractor fan, and music and people below us shouting to each other..maybe it was a kitchen, not sure. But it didn't go on too far past 11pm so wasn't a major problem. Also, there was an outside staircase going up to the rooms. The door going into the building (upstairs) was open all night. We didn't know if we should close it as we were concerned that if we did, any other people staying upstairs would be locked out because we only had one key which was for our room (ie not a key for the outside door). So I felt a bit vulnerable thinking that anyone could walk up the staircase and be inside where the rooms were.

Excellent food friendly staff comfortable room

Nothing

Clean well decorated. Good value for money.

Room I was in was noisy as it was adjacent to main road. Breakfast was good but bacon too underdone for me.

Location - close to our family

Room had chocolate wrappers under bed so hadn’t been cleaned properly. Curtain non existent so sun streams in morning - broken toilet was filling all night, mattress like a slab of concrete, tv size of postage stamp.
