Casona Dos Lagos

Lovely location in the countryside. It's an old stone farm/castle type building which looks amazing. They had a young calf outside that you could pet who we adored. Rooms were decent sized and clean.

We came late one night and there were no parking spots left. Squeezed the car next to some others outside of the regular parking spots (still on the premises) and no one was troubled by that, but we could've got an early morning wake up call from someone to move the car, not pleasant. The staff didn't speak English. Managed with my minimal Spanish level but not a great experience for foreigners. It's next to a lake so during summer it's very humid and there are lots of mosquitoes. We couldn't enjoy the garden because of this. Also there's no AC and if you're at a ground flood, opening the window at night means anyone can peek into the room or just wake you up by walking around & talking. Keeping the windows closed leaves no ventilation in the room. So the air gets stale and heavy if you stay more than 1-2 nights. Luckily we went there during a colder week in August, so we could sleep with the windows closed.

Fantastic location. Easy location for the Ferry and beautiful setting and care for our dog

It was comfortable. The rooms have a lovely outlook.

The restaurant was closed during our stay, so no there was no breakfast or evening meal at the property.
