Hotel Vasco Da Gama

This hotel is very special. I loved it from the minute I walked in the door. The owner is fantastic, and a perfectionist. The rooms are spotless, and the terrace is just a great place to relax and chill out, especially if you are walking the Camino. If you want a break from the hostels, this hotel is perfect. There is a laundrette next door, and a cash machine around the corner, we were allowed to have pizza delivered, and enjoy it in the beautiful terrace, the owner even ordered it for us. I have worked in hospitality for 25 years, and this is the most enjoyable stay I have ever had. The wine is fantastic and very well priced, and even the beers are great. There is no food in the evening, but the breakfast is excellent and also included in the price. I would advise early booking.

We had a balcony overlooking the garden. There was also seating in the front garden in dappled shade which was pleasant. The owner was helpful and the price included breakfast.

Had an outside garden area.

The downstairs room is extremely noisy with plumbing noise and every twenty minutes some sort of motor runs for a couple of minutes. Wakes you up every time. Really annoying.
