Longbridge House

Being near the town centre, the on street parking was fine. We enjoyed the hearty breakfasts, which set us up well for the day. It was good to meet some of the other guests at breakfast. The room was clean, comfortable and in a quiet location.

We have no complaints about the accommodation, which was an ideal base for exploring Shepton Mallet and visiting our relatives in a nearby town.

Breakfast was amazing, room was amazing. We have paid lots more for worse including some hotels!!

Bed was a little soft!

Such a lovely and unique place to stay! The house is a beautiful old English home with so much character, and it was really nice getting to experience something a little different from a typical hotel. The hosts were both very welcoming and helpful, gave us recommendations for the area, and even let me borrow an umbrella when I needed one. They also prepared a breakfast box for us on our last morning as we had to leave very early, which was such a thoughtful touch

I stayed in the room at the very top of the house, which was really cute and spacious. The only downside was that there was quite a strong musty/unusual smell in the room. I noticed it throughout my stay and did wake up feeling a little unwell one morning, so I do think it may be worth checking whether there is an issue with damp or mould in that part of the house. I obviously can’t say for certain what was causing the smell, but it was noticeable enough that I think it’s worth mentioning. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay. It’s a charming little place with lovely hosts, and I really appreciated how welcoming and accommodating they were. 😊
