Golden Temple Residence

The location was great and the hotel is beautiful.

This hotel was beautiful but not top of the places we stayed in Cambodia. We booked a room that is litereally called the 'family room' and it says it has a double bed and sofa bed - however be warned, the sofa bed is not a bed... it is just a couch. it doesn't pull out at all, it really is just a couch. It would fit a max of one person, and only if they are short. We booked for 4 people so I have NO idea where they expected the fourth person to sleep - and again, it's advertised as a 'family' room?? We then had to request an extra bed which they wanted to charge us for. I will say though that the room is beautiful and big. Just does not have enough beds for an actual family. The pool is incredible but make sure you wear bug spray by the pool as the mozzies were out and we all got bitten on the first day. Overall it was nice and the staff were ok, but if you want real Cambodian hospitality then this might not be the one? It was one of the most expensive places we stayed on our whole trip, but it seems that you are paying for the fact that it's central and looks fancy.... They don't really go above and beyond for their guests in any way.

The location was great and why we chose to stay there. Staff were friendly and assisted with a guide and driver for our sunrise Angkor Wat tour. The spa was convenient but there are so many other more luxurious spa businesses nearby for a much cheaper price. The pool was nice as was the seating area. The room was spacious and the swing bed on the balcony was great.

The beds were uncomfortable and the aircons were noisy.

Staff was attentive to everything I needed. They went above and beyond to make my birthday special!
