The staff was really helpful both for info about the hotel and about the surrounding attractions. The bistro was closed but a kitchen with a limited menu was still enough to satisfy all of us. Breakfast is paid separately and has many options even for vegetarians.

The room was nice and spacious with a great view over the river, a good hot shower and a very comfortable bed. The staff, especially the manager the night I checked in, were really nice and helpful and both dinner and breakfast were great. The location for Detifoss, Selfoss and Hagilafoss is perfect and for seeing the northern lights which I was lucky enough to experience.

Both the breakfast (and the available dinner) were very nice. There is unlimited free parking.

Room was spacious enough for an overnight stay. Private bathroom. Access to kitchen. Free WiFi. Tea/cofee privided in the dining room.
No mini fridge, kettle, glassware or cups in the room. To get to the kitchen, you had to walk outside. The kitchen wasn't equipped well to hand the number of people using it.
