Greenwich House

This place surpassed my expectations. I was worried booking it after going for a cheaper option on my previous stay. However, I found the place modern, quiet, reasonably clean, comfy, and felt safe. For a spot in London it was a great price and an enjoyable stay.

The checkout time was a bit confused and I didn't get an answer to my query about it.

Great location. Safe. Clean.

Host communication not good. Hard checkin process with misinformation.

I liked the street and how quiet it was. It was obvious that the resort was mostly for tourists. The people room next door were pretty loud, but that’s not the host’s fault. There is also a 24/7 shop which was perfect when I needed to buy drinks or food. The block has also a bus stop nearby, which was very convenient as I needed to get to the O2 Arena a few times and then back, which means I didn’t have to walk all the time. The room itself was clean, a bit small but perfect for guests who do not ‘rot’ inside all day and only come back to get some sleep.

It was very difficult for me to find the proper building. The pictures do not show the exact building, but a different one that is in the next block of the area. Getting inside the building and my room was also way too complicated—so many code locks and if I forgot my phone, I probably wouldn’t get inside and be lost 😀 It was a complication for me, as I was getting in and out pretty much multiple times a day.

It was good that was quite near o2 arena (30min walk), so it was easy to go after concert, and in our room we had a private bathroom.

The room looks different than what was shown in the picture, we didn’t have a full body mirror, the bathroom was dirty, especially lots of dust on shelves and radiator. When we arrived (our flight was late) so we managed to get there only around 2am in the morning, and by instruction sent to my email, first was forgotten to mention that post box code was 000 and when I opened our lock box our key was not there so after our long journey we were unable to get in. I had to call and ask for help in the middle of night, don’t know who I was speaking to but at the end the man gave another lockbox code, where we found a key and were able to go to sleep. But when we came in, from other rooms girls was shouting, so was feeling like in hostel no sound isolation, you can hear absolutely everything.
