Casa Migliaca feels less like a hotel and more like stepping into the pages of a novel, or a scene from a film you didn't know you'd been longing for. The owners, Luca and Sylvia, are the soul of the place. Luca sent us home with cuttings from his garden, a small gesture that somehow said everything about the generosity of this house. Sylvia, meanwhile, is a remarkable cook, and for guests who choose to stay for dinner, there's a beautiful tradition: everyone gathers around one round table to eat together. Strangers become companions over the course of a meal. In a world that often pulls people apart, there was something quietly moving about so many different lives sitting down to break bread as one. We stayed three nights, and it was exactly the right amount of time to slow down, breathe, and properly explore the surrounding countryside. A tip from experience: skip the tourist circus of Corfu and head inland instead, the hill towns are where Sicily reveals its quieter, older self. It didn't surprise us to see other guests extending their stays once they arrived. Grazie davvero

The house is in the middle of nature with a stunning view. The hosts are amazing, so nice, welcoming and have a lot of advice. Every night there is a delicious dinner on a big table with everyone in the house. And the house is so authentic and beautiful. The only thing we regretted was having booked only 2 nights. I recommend this place so much.

A beautiful Sicilian meal cooked for us the night we stayed! Free flow wine and lovely liqueurs with dinner. The host Lucca was a lovely man.

The property was very overgrown and rather run down. I went to have a shower very early morning and no hot water. I didn’t want to wake anybody so cold shower it was 🥶
