We chose the private onsen which was fabulous. I could enjoy it with my wife looking over the bay of Amanohashidate. It's a memory I will treasure for a very long time. We booked a dinner but I was unwell and the staff allowed me to cancel without penalty. That was kind, and I thank you
The hotel was great, but be aware that there are almost no evening dining options anywhere nearby. Make arrangements before you arrive

Beautiful tatami room with a wonderful view of the sea . We loved watching the birds and fish.
Very good breakfast, almost all Japanese style. Good coffee.

The town itself is extremely quiet in the evening. It would have been nice to sit and have a drink looking out over sea, but not possible.

The hotel is in front of Amanohashidate station. It's a large ans spacious establishment with a great onsen . The buffet at breakfast is fantastic! The very large dining room offers a beautiful view on the sea.
The bedroom was very hot when i arrived .
The men at the desk could be warmer.

Location. Views. Bike hire at hotel.
The receptionist was a little unfriendly when we arrived before checkin time, just repeating checkin was at 3 (we arrived at 2). We had one member of group unwell so we asked them to check if one room available which they accommodated with early checkin.
Need to replace hallway carpets.
