Our 6-Star Stay at Vinpearl Resort & Spa Ha Long ​Our five-night honeymoon in an Executive Suite at the Vinpearl Resort & Spa Ha Long was nothing short of magical. While officially rated as a 5-star hotel, in our opinion, it comfortably operates at a 6-star level. It was an ethereal experience that was, quite simply, out of this world. Having stayed at numerous luxury 5-star properties globally, this has been the best yet, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts. ​A Flawless & Elegant Welcome ​From the moment we arrived at the Vinpearl mainland check-in lobby, we were wowed by the sheer elegance and exquisite décor of the building. We were warmly greeted by Cam Tu, a Duty Manager, whose customer service was immediately exceptional. Her radiant smile, genuine care, palpable passion, and flawless knowledge left us completely enchanted. ​Transferring to the resort was like a beautifully coordinated military operation, yet to us as guests, it was entirely seamless. The comfortable speedboats operate 24 hours a day, taking just five minutes. The captains and staff running these were just perfect—friendly, helpful, and accommodating. ​The Executive Suite: A Magical Sanctuary ​Upon entering our suite, we were totally blown away. The elegance, luxury, and meticulous attention to detail were phenomenal. ​Space & Serenity: The massive bed offered a dedicated pillow menu, and the balcony/veranda was stunning, overlooking the beach and sea with two very comfortable chairs and a table. This enabled us to watch the sunrise every morning a truly peaceful and beautiful tradition,while listening to the gentle cultural sounds of the resort. ​Thoughtful Touches: The suite has everything you could need, including a digital safe, an amazing dry cleaning service, resort flip-flops, two sets of plush gowns, and a high-end Philips handheld garment steamer.

A beautiful location with mixed dining experiences The resort is in a lovely location, and we particularly enjoyed the Italian restaurant, where both breakfast and dinner were divine. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, and the other guests were respectful diners, making it a pleasure to enjoy our meals. Unfortunately, the experience at Bayview Restaurant was the complete opposite. Both breakfast and dinner were loud, chaotic and overwhelming, with some guests pushing in, shouting into their phones and showing little consideration for others and staff. One man spat into a plant during dinner. It was disappointing that the dining experiences varied so dramatically. The Italian restaurant demonstrated how enjoyable dining at the resort could be when the atmosphere was calm and guests were considerate of one another. Overall, the beautiful location and the wonderful experience at the Italian restaurant were definite highlights, but the atmosphere at Bayview Restaurant detracted from our stay. Disappointing dining experience at Bayview Restaurant Unfortunately, our experience at Bayview Restaurant was loud, chaotic and overwhelming, both at breakfast and dinner. Rather than being a relaxing dining experience, the atmosphere felt hectic and uncomfortable. There was a noticeable lack of consideration for other guests, with people pushing in, shouting into their phones and behaving in ways that made the dining room feel unnecessarily stressful. The general atmosphere often felt more like a feeding frenzy than an enjoyable restaurant experience. We understand that busy restaurants can be noisy, particularly at peak times, but we expected a more pleasant and respectful environment, especially at a resort of this standard. Sadly, the noise and behaviour of some guests really detracted from our overall experience and made us reluctant to return for meals. Better management of the dining room and greater consideration for other diners would make a significant difference.
